Made for my friend (shown modeling), as her graduation present. = ]

open back, classic front silhouette, hardware detail, exposed zipper...

.:EDIT:.
I felt compelled to give a little more background information on this dress, and it's inspiration... My friend, Sarah, is an amazing person. She's not just a very real person, she is extremely talented- she acts, models, sings, plays piano, writes music, and most importantly, was obsessed with the violin.

I met Sarah last summer, a year to the day after she had been in a terrible car accident that mangled her left arm and hand, making it impossible for her to ever play the violin again. The accident didn't just take that away- to this day, she can't open bottles, can't turn door handles, sometimes can't button jeans or shirts, and on and on the list goes.

When she turned 18, she got her first tattoo- the one shown, the curves of a violin in the center of her back. As I sat next to her in the tattoo parlor, I started sketching the idea for this dress. I wanted something that would accentuate the thing that meant the most to her. I wanted her to look hot, rock it, and above all, love it.

Judging by her tears when she put it on, she did.

I love the details of the chain and zipper.  Great story behind it[though heartbreaking] (and amazing tattoo!).   Smiley
