After seeing how many fantastic things people do with plastic grocery bags ... I had the idea to use them like hemp/or any other string ... and to knot/braid it to make necklaces and bracelets ... I have made a bunch so far and given them away to friends, but here are a few photos of a couple I have kept for myself ...

A necklace/bracelet ...

I hope these can maybe inspires even more grocery bag crafting ...  Smiley

Wonderful! Thanks for the inspiration; will have to try some grocery bag recycling project soon (have been saving them for ages).

Wow those are great!  I've been working on a giant purse for a while, but I ran out of the bags I was using.  I've got to try jewelry!  Our local grocery store has these amazing brown bags with red recycling arrows made to look like Japanese cherry blossoms, but when one uses them like this, it would look just like hemp.

I'm so excited to do this. THANK YOU!!!   Cheesy

Very creative!  I love jewelry that uses non-trad materials!

I love my hubby, but the Army doesn't pay enough for my crafty habit!
