I loved Elphaba... but these are soooooo amazingly awesome. I doodle swirly things like that all the time... but I am extremely impressed with how perfect yours ALL look. This rocks doesnt even begin to cover it.

Wow those turned out awesome! What brand of paint did you use? I painted an old pair of chucks a while back with this really cheap paint from walmart and they turned out kind of funky.

Awesome! Makes me wish the art supply shop and the cheapo shoe shop were still open tonight (and that I didn't have the boyfriend's birthday and the best friend's new baby to make something for first...).
Totally rocks.

Honestly, I <3 rainbow stuff, but the blocky look you started out with is NOT my style... so when I was looking between the blocky rainbow you started out with and how the swirlies ended up, it took me a minute to realize all you did was add swirlies! They really make the colors blend together and pop! I love them to death.... much better than the original shoes you saw!

Ditto this 100%

Thanks everyone! I actually didn't really like them at first to tell the truth.  Well, I did the left foot (without the black paint) and thought they looked totally stupid, but I just kept trucking along, finally decided to add the black on top to hopefully make the colors underneath appear to blend more and now I love them.

These are the paints I used.  I got them from Michael's, they were, $5-7 maybe? Plus one tube of black (sold separately)

They look pretty pastel in the tubes, but they dry deeper.
