I made this felt book for a swap recently.  The little girl's name was so short, so I decided to do a counting book rather than a name book.  It's the first one I've made and I couldn't believe how much fun it was.

I'm sure I'll make more of these, so I would love any C & C you may have.  Thanks!

Thanks so much everyone.  I really appreciate your kind words.

The pigs and little mittens I cut with the die cut at work ( I teach at a preschool), the rest I just drew a little pattern and cut around it.

I'm not terribly pleased with the way I put it together, but everything else I tried pulled the pages in so that they opened funny and wouldn't lay nice and flat.  Any suggestions?

It looks great!

I'm trying to make a felt book for my dd and it's not coming out well at all, much harder than I thought it would be.

But yours looks so professional.

Thank you so much.  I think the die cuts are probably the difference.  I couldn't make my numbers right at all, but with the die cut, they turned out much nicer.

I think you did a great job! I made one for a friend whose little one turned a year (about a year ago) and it was difficult! Took a TON of time and more patience than I had Wink I love the concept about using numbers! The only thing I did a bit different with mine was I used a piece of felt twice as long as one page for the cover and stitched the first page to the back of the front (make sense?) and the last page to the front of the back (even more confused?) That was the cover wrapped around, almost like a real book.

Elizabethsmom:  I love that cover idea.  I will probably try that next time.  Thanks!
