I also want to hear the joke, and those potholders are beyond beyond. Everything about them is fantastic  - the shape, the colours, the graphics, the concept itself.  If I saw them in a store I'd go without dinner to buy them. Brava, skullseamstress!!!

I'm on my second gin and tonic and have to say that naughty jokes are fine with me...  Wink

P.S.  If you are old enough to imbibe, I suggest trying out Citadelle gin.   Grin

Ok, well you asked for it. FAIR WARNING! Crude joke below....
First time I heard this joke was in a show I performed in called L'Erotique, Naughty Fairy Tales. Little Red was gr8. I was Little Miss Muffet... that's all I'll say about that.

Little Red's on her way through the forest when the Big Bad creeps up and grabs her from behind and whispers into her ear "Oh Red, I'm gonna screw you senseless little girl!" Red calmly reaches into her basket and pulls out a big gun, pointing it at Mr. Wolf she tells him "Oh no you're not, now you're going to eat me just like it says in the book!"

Ok, I am posting these pics for christinacoghill, my partner.  These are the potholders I sent her.  We decided to only exchange 2.

Christina said in her application that she collected crock pots, so I made this big potholder for her to match her kitchen (She said she had dark green countertops)

She also said she had several pets (cats and dogs) and liked bright colours (purple is her favourite) So I found this pattern that was an owl, and thought I could tweak it to be more catlike... I'll let you be the judge on how successful that was, lol.

Thanks Jennie Smiley  It was awfully fun to make.  I think I'm addicted to making potholders now, they go so quickly and are so useful.
