HI! Smiley
A friend of mine is having her baby shower this month and I was thinking of making her something by hand that can be usefull for her or/and her futur baby! But I'm a little bit out of ideas...so i was wandering if anybody could post some really good ideas here to help me out a little bit! Anything can do and to all the mothers out there, it would be nice if you could also give me some ideas because you know better than anybody else what a new mommy needs! Thank you very much!
PS: Tutorials would be appreciated for the projects (if complecated) and I promise that if I make anything that will be suggested here to post my result in a new post and tell you guys how the new mommy liked her gift!
THANKS AGAIN!!  Cheesy

I know you posted this a couple weeks ago, but I'm going to respond anyway Grin

I just found out that my cousin/friend is pregnant, so I'm making her a blanket. I went to the dollar store and grabbed two different kinds of blankets and I'm sewing them together to make a more personalized, warmer blanket. Line up the edges of the two blankets faces in, trim any excess, sew 'em together, flip, and sew it shut. I'm probably going to tie it with yarn like a tied quilt. It's a quick project, and cheap and easy. Thumbs up from me!

I'm still looking for more ideas of quick/easy gifts, but that's one off the top of my head!

Hope this helps also.  I made some bathing towels that slip over the Mother's head which were a huge hit for my slightly hard to please DIL.  I found the tute here on Craftster.

I found it a perfect gift and we are still using it 8 months later. Genius idea and a great tute by jutybo.

I have a baby less than a year old and the most helpful things I can think of are pocket bibs, burpcloths, soft material shoes (for some reason they would stay on, but not his socks! Smiley)  crib sheets, hoodie towels, a blanket that attaches to his carseat, hats for bigger sized babies (not 0-6 months, my boys always have big craniums and it's harder to find hats for babies over 6 months for some reason), a cloth diaper bag that is easily washed and dried (there are some babies that will puke everywhere and the last thing you want to find out when they puke in your diaper bag is that it's "surface washable only."  You can find the tutorials for all those on here or on prudentbaby.com Smiley  Hope this helps!
