Yep, they're bees and they're on sticks...so I imaginatively called them...bee sticks!

I don't know what is up with me lately. The weirdest things keep popping into my head and demanding I make them. Hopefully the bees will shush now they're out! Cheesy

The bee bodies are recycled newspaper pulp.

The bees thank you for looking at them Wink

These are so cute, phizz! Wouldn't a few of them make a cute mobile? Sans sticks, of course.

A bee-go-round! Awesome!

Maybe it could be a bug-go-round or critter-go-round if you don't want just bees. PLEASE make one of those..

Oh, girl! I absolutely love everything you do, its simply marvelous!!

I would like to know what do you mean by recycled paper pulp. How do you make it? Sorry to make so many questions, its just that your work certainly inspires me  Smiley

I know! i want to answer this one:
first get a bowl
add some water (just about half a cup)
add one tablespoon of flour
and squirt in a bit of dish soap (if you're going to use all the pulp immediately, you can skip this part)
add a squirt of white glue if you don't have any it's ok. It's better with, but can be subbed with a teaspoon more flour)
rip up pieces of newspaper (small, but not too tiny)
soak in bowl for about 3 min. (the longer the better, but even for 30 seconds is fine)
pick up newspaper gunk.
knead it into a ball
pull the ball apart several times and play with it to blend the paper
add some more water
knead.
done!

Thank you! Grin Yep, kind of what she said, except I didn't use any flour or dish soap (is that like washing up liquid?) Cheesy

I made some beads the same way a couple of years ago. I wrote some instructions for the process I used if you scroll down the page a little... http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=244442.0

Thank you! I love old maps, and I thought it was funny to have something that would generally be under them (the landscape) be on top of them Cheesy
