Hey hep kats and ghouls! This is Simplicity 2453 done in cotton print. Blue gingham with cherries and tiny pink hearts!

Alterations:
>Added 10" to hips and 5" to waist

What is really nice is that there is NO FACING! The sleeves are narrow hemmed, arm holes done in bias tape, and the neck is finished with a bias cut of the cotton. SWEEEEEEt! Kiss

I am so ready to rock in my frock babies!

and my pug Miss Mai Tai is modeling her bad-self

ok here is a question...be honesy honey...does it look like a hospital gown without a belt? My hubby says so...maybe its the print

I used pink for the twist here:

That's some fab fabric! I think your husband is right, though - the belt gives it a definite 'this is a DRESS in an awesome print' vibe, as opposed to 'this is the gown I escaped from surgery in an awesome print'. It looks great with your hair, btw!

I Completely agree with Myrdda. Loving the framed posters in the background. In the process of decorating my room. Hopefully get around to posting the redo in the next week.  I constantly stalk your posts. can't help it gal you got great taste. LOL I'd probably go with a wide black belt, but then again....just about everything I own is black...that too is genetic. LOL

I don't know if it's exactly hospital gown-esque without the belt but I think it does look better with! Great fabric, and yay for no facing!

The belt def gives you a shapelier silhouette, I would almost like to see a wider belt with this. The fabric is fantastic and the shoes are perfect for this dress.

Gorgeous!  I love the fabric and it really does look great with the belt.  It looks like a nice shape for a dress.  maybe you could put in a red band of fabric thats a bit more fitted?  I wouldn't know how to go about it though.
