Well i know that there's a scrapbook stores in the Bartlett area, but since i've only been in a handful of times, I doubt they'd let us invade. But you never know. Failing that, Michael's and fabric stores usually have spaces. Maybe someone could buddy up to a manager? Failing that, there has to be a coffee shop that we can all pick.

Are we all meeting up to gab about projects or are we showing them off/suggesting new ones too?
I'm in the process of packing to move down there, so I'm trying to plan on what to shove in the car. Besides the cat and sewing machine, of course!

That's probably a good idea. That way we know how large of an area to colonize!

There's also Wine and Cheese night at Seize the Clay, which now has real pottery glazes (as opposed to lovely, but very brightly colored paint-style glazes).  Hrm.  Maybe I should have said traditional!  I meant no offense!  Embarrassed

They provide some cheese and nibbles, you provide BYOWine and can bring other food.  The sitting fee is $3.50 (covers the glazes/paints for however long you paint) + whatever piece you decide to paint ($6-$60).

Oh, and I should have said, it's always on Fridays.  I think they have a FB account, but I am not on FB, so I can't be sure.  Smiley

I know I'm a couple of months behind in this post, I'm new here, but I would LOVE to get in on this, or even help organize something like this. I'm in the Midtown area and my buddy and I are always looking for crafting fun time! Sooooo... hopefully someone here will reply and we can get a non exclusive craft group going.
Hoping to hear from anyone in the near future....

Hi All!

A group of us local makers are organizing a handmade show this May and were looking for other makers to join us. You can find out more info about us online at the link, Twiiter @IndieStyleMark, or on our Facebook Page- just search indie style market. We're looking for folks who want to be vendors and folks who are interested in teaching a Make & Take class. Spread the word and let me know if you want to join us!

Also, I'm planning some Craft Nights beginning in Feb/March timeframe. I have a few spaces downtown that have opened their doors. If you want to join me and teach other cracty skills - just let me know!

Update: Vendor Appliclations are now being accepted online - www.indiestylemarket.net
