I am very new to the screen printing scene, and I have a simple question. Using emulsion, is it the dark colors that create the image? in other words, if I have a white picture with a black background, do i need to invert the colors?

Say you want an apple design on your paper, then you print out a picture of a black apple and put it on the screen. When you burn the screen with the light the emulsion will dry everywhere except the apple. So you will have to invert the colours if you have a white image. Hope that helps.

Make sure your image is black and white. Anything that is black on your printout will be your print area on the screen.
