DIY Wedding Invitations

I'm not sure this is the right place for this, but here I go.

I recently got engaged (yay!), and my future hubs and I are considering buying some sort of machine so that we can make our own invites. I do, however, have some questions and concerns.

There are various types of Gocco machines, and I don't really know which one I'd need. Also, I think the average for an invite is 2.50, and I think I'd need about 100 invites (=$250).. so depending on the machine, I'm not sure if it'd be less expensive just to buy my own. I just like the idea that making your own is less expensive, but I'm not sure how true that is.

Any help or information would be appreciated.
