Wow. I can barely do basic designs on my nails. O.O

I'd have a manicure all the time if I could get these! Cheesy

Note for partners: I have gauged ears, so classic earrings don't really work for me. Smiley

Cheesy These are incredible! Amazing work!

Any tips on how to do something similar for those of us who'd like to be able to that ourselves? Did you use special brushes, or other tools? Or (just) a lot of practice?

Wow! Thanks for all of the feedback!

As far as materials and paintbrushes go, I usually use small liner brushes to paint the designs. Almost all of the outlines are done with fine-tipped Sharpie pens or a Micron pen. (Regular Sharpies bleed when I put the topcoat on, and tints things purple.) For the details in the Sonic manicure, I actually went in with colored pencils and drew the wall patterns over the acrylic paint.

If you want to tackle this kind of manicure, the best advice I can share is to be patient and work in layers. Take your time when working on the opposite hand and work in blocks. If you want, I can post a tutorial sometime. ( :

Side note:
Here are my current nails. Tried to do something simple and went with the Green Power Ranger. This was done with nail polish, except for the lines on the belt.

Simply amazing!!! I love them. Have you tried Pac-Man? How did you learn that?! I am truly amazed and hope to see more of your work! Shocked

This is crazy! I have issues painting my nails in solid colors, I can't even imagine doing this.

I LOVE the sonic one. He's my favorite game character ever. I hope you open a  salon because I would be the first one there!
