i was thinking of having a go at cables sometime soon, but i was thinking more along the lines of a nice small bookmark or something. (the thought of tackling a whole sweater makes me feel overwhelmed. hehe. let me see if i can get one whipped out in stockinette before i attempt a cabled one.)

That is a lovely sweater!  I just finished a cabled sweater that I designed, actually kind of looks like that one.  

Kabili--you should try making a scarf with cables.  That was my first project with cables.  If you really hate it, stop at 6 inches and call it a potholder :-)
