I started this post three times and all I can cogently come up with is....holy crap. I am both breathless and speechless.

I've been gardening and around gardeners all my 49 years of life and toured gardens around the world and I've seen some truly wonderful stuff, but this is beyond anything I could even dream of.

You need to get the local papers in there and the Chamber of Commerce and call Better homes and Gardens...that little piece of heaven should be seen by the whole world.

As for the candy on the trees, you could probably come up with some modified bulk dispenser (like this or this!!) to stash in trees. The lever/spring loaded device would keep undesirables away. And it would bring more color(!!!) to the garden, which I think makes it more fantastic and fun!

i cant say enough how awesome this yard is.  i know it was rewarding to complete a goal you made for yourself as a child.  i pray you win the challenge!!!  this is a dream come true.

This is just amazing.  You did a fabulous job.  Did you plant scent plants for the different areas as well?  I was just thinking about chocolate mint, chocolate geraniums, for the chocolate area, that kind of thing?  Or are you just going for the colors?
