I'm going to ask daddy! He is a daltonist too... If you use the same word in English... Not sure :p
It always frustrates him, when we show him those number pages.

It's fascinating for me as wel... Father has got 5 brothers, and they all got the same colourblindness. There is a sister too, and she possibly is a carrier. She has got two boys, so I'm curious when they will be tested. *loves genetics*

I'm not colorblind, but I was associated with someone for a long time who was deficient in blues and greens.

It's quite fascinating to me actually and I wondered what it may be like to see through the eyes of a colorblind person, so....

Your earrings are spectacular by the way!  Grin

That is awesome! I tried a picture of a rainbow. Very weird.

It does look like that one shade of red in the earrings is really off. I'm glad there are others who share my fascination of sight!

We did the test... And we used it to test my two cousins, sons of the one siter I mentioned in my post above. We suspected it, and now we are sure. Both my dad and my two cousins are colourblind. My dad quite bad, because he couldn't see the earrings either :p
As I already thought, it frustrated him to no end. My eldest cousin was frustrated too in the end, because we kept asking things he could not see. Awww. He's only 7. Brik is 5, and he has it too.

Interesting!

Just asked my dad and he said "there are supposed to be numbers on those?" He's constantly getting red and green confused, so not much of a surprise there.

I love this project! Its very clever and well executed. Good job Smiley

My husband could not read the earrings at all. He said there was some orange blotches "maybe", and was surprised when I saw what number was on them. He's pretty darned color blind, though.

Thanks to all of the husbands, dads, sons, nephews, friends, etc. who willingly (or otherwise) gave their input and to all the craftsters who asked them! It seems like the earrings are more than 50% effective. Yay! Grin

If I were you, to refine your design I would wrap each little red/green bit of the cane in white, so you have the white spaces in between the color dots.  The color difference between the numbers and the background is not as vibrant when there is the white space in between.
