My son is always complaining about the seatbelt being on his neck. So the other day during his nap  i made this  useing only things out of my stash

Awww. I can imagine what a contrast of the skulls and your son's face. Scary and cute.

I hope the strap doesn't bother his neck anymore. And he has a smart mom that know how to save a few bucks by using her sewing machine.

Just wanted to let you know - the reason the seatbelt is on his neck is b/c either that booster doesnt fit him properly, or its not adjusted properly. 

Seatbelt on the neck is not a safety issue, but the lapbelt fitting him like this is a MAJOR safety issue.  It must be on his lap, more like the upper thigh area and should not be on his tummy/abdomen at all like that. 

He is at risk for submarining and or abdominal injury.

Most likley, by just adjusting the seat you will get a better fit which will be more comfortable (and a LOT safer) for you son!

My seatbelt fits me the exact same way. Maybe its my make and model. I will look into it. Thank you.

If you cant figure it out,  go to http://www.seatcheck.org/   and put in your zip code on the right (under the map), you can find a carseat check or tech who can help you out (both with your son's seat and your seatbelt fit!).  Its free to get it checked and can save your child's life if you ever get into an accident.

I highly recomend it, b/c like I said, how he is strapped in now isnt safe at all.  Its hard to see what the issue is with the fit without seeing it in person (Im a carseat tech and I check these kinds of things all the time)
