I made this for my lego-obsessed four year old . . . very simple. unfortunatly I didn't have the right sized cake pans so i just made one sheet cake and cut it up. My first time crumb coating .  wow, what a difference that makes!!



just making sure marshmallows + icing is not poisonous, mom

(on a side note for this pic- yes, my dad's fridge does indeed have diamond plate and leather covering it)

and with the guys from all the lego sets he got for his birthday (snuck them out of the boxes before wrapping)



what a happy boy! the only thing i would do different would be to get gel colouring . . it took like the whole container of regular food colouring for each colour and they were still way lighter than i wanted

thanks, guys! you can check out the betty crocker site for an actual video, though, it's not hard to figure out . . I never make cake so the video gave me some pointers on how to frost, crumb coat, and to put the cakes in the freezer
