I started a new swap theme ideas thread for a swap I want to do. So far only one person has replied. I just wanted to know how long I should wait or how many people should post before I start it. Also, I often see organizers putting the link to their swap in their sig, but would it be weird for me to do that for just an idea thread? Thanks!

It's completely up to you on when you feel you're ready to start the swap.  I like to have at least 4 people post that they are interested, but sometimes in the summer not that many respond. Smiley

I've put links to idea threads on my sig.  It did help interest a bit, but took quite a few characters.

I do this too and usually you'll get quite a few PMs back saying whether or not they're interested.

I would say wait until you have enough interested that you feel its worth organizing a swap for.

You can use a site like http://tiny.cc/ to make a shorter url.

So, for this thread, instead of:
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=349786.0

after you run it through that site it becomes:
http://tiny.cc/cq262

Very nice for saving characters in your sig, I use it all the time to get enough mod related + personal info into my siggy! Wink

Yikes! I had no idea about using tinyurl! I always wondered how people got so much into their signature!
