This painting was completed for the 3rd week of an online art course I am taking. You may have seen my week 1 completed assignment too.
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=371202.0

I painted this for my little sister in mind. I wanted it to represent a guardian angel with invisible wings. My sister and I. The little girl is holding two feathers as "two feathers" is my sister's nickname from before she was born.

I used water color crayons, graphite, stamps and ink, acrylics, and pen.

I think it makes a perfect Valentine for my sister!

You're on such a roll!! This is so beautiful. You're really good at eyes. They're beautifully alive. I love this <3. Indeed, a perfect gift for your sister. So thoughtful!!

Very pretty! The colors are very vivid and the backdrop behind the sisters if very art deco'ish, much like Alphonse Mucha.

There is a lot of feeling in your lil'picture.  Thank you for sharing.

It's really beautiful. I can feel the emotion in it.

It turned out beautifully! Sis is sure to adore it. Your background is gorgeous. Mucha would be proud to have inspired you!

Thanks everyone! I always work so hard at the eyes so it is nice to hear compliments on them. Makes me feel like I'm doing something right.  Cheesy

I guess I forgot to mention that this week is Mucha inspired!
I'm glad you got that impression Buffalogirl!

Wow - that is utterly utterly beautiful - I keep popping on to the "More art..." board to look for your latest coursework, and this is fab Smiley The faces are so expressive and full of caring. I really like the text pages peeking through the background too.

Did she like it?

Thanks! The background isn't actually text pages. It is a stamp that I have done as part of the background.
Yes, she loved it! I'm framing it for her and she is putting it up in her room. I got a big sister hug for it!
