I have been looking high and low for tiki themed fabric. Everywhere I looked either had nothing like that or was out of anything even remotely tiki inspired. I found myself at fabric.com the other day and they actually had some!!  (  http://www.fabric.com/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductID=42494767-5596-401d-b4f6-e0424eba6410  )

Normally I shy away from buying fabric online as I can't see and feel it, but I had such a hard time finding this that I jumped on it.
It took 3 days from ordering to receiving the package. And I was thrilled with the quality of the fabric itself. 100% cotton, sturdy, nice printwork, etc.

I am in no way affiliated with this site. I was just so thrilled to find something I have been looking for forever that I just had to share.

Now, I just need to figure out how I will make a quilt out of it.

Yay! That fabric is really cute! I swear I saw some other tiki fabric somewhere recently but I can't remember where.  Undecided

That's lovely, there isn't anything like that over here..everything seems to be floral and not even nice floral... Sad

You know, I've never tried this fabric site but am thinking I might soon.  You design your OWN fabric-- just upload the image/graphic and they'll print it-- just one yd at a time.  I am in in need of finding green ribbon fabric (my husband has kidney cancer, that that's the color of his "ribbon" and orange ribbon as a kidney cancer survivor)

www.spoonflower.com

does anyone here happen to know a company already makes the color GREEN on ribbon fabric for cancer awareness?  All I've seen on the market of course is pink ribbon (breast cancer) and red (AIDS)

Sincerely,

I know some people that have used it, it does sound really cool. They had a giveaway a while ago for a piece of fabric...it was pretty small, less than an FQ but it still would have been cool to get a free something you designed.

Suzi--I haven't seen any green ribbons but I will keep my eye out! And welcome to Craftster!  Grin

I bought it to do something with for my son.  I think I'll end up lining a bag with it lol.

Don't forget to post your tiki quilt when it's done!
I have been haunting fabric.com
The fabric is cheap, but the cost of shipping to aus would negate that...it stocks lovely fabric though.

That's awesome! I've been thinking about ordering from fabric.com for a while now, so it's nice to see positive reviews!
