I barely finished in time for this challenge and I realize posting may qualify me for Regretsy, but this was a lot of fun with glue guns and a thoroughly entertaining demolition of the only board game in our house I am definitely happy to never play again.

Thanks to my daughter (the one who will not be devastated to hear Candyland is no more) for snapping great armpit shots for me.  Unfortunately my pictures aren't that hot and some didn't turn out at all, this is a first time post/documentation effort for me.

I usually sew or serge and have never used glue guns on fabric before, but I was inspired by the GAGA bra

That's the only shot of the intact tin this set came in.  I've always wanted to do tin mosaic or collage - however that involves penny nails and wooden while this was intented to be clothing, so I settled for bra cones.  I didn't wind up using this bra because I found one I liked even less that wouldn't have as much contrast.

I may have disqualified myself several times over by running out of time, originally I wanted to sew the cards into a skirt to attached to the belt made from this lid scrap and the one sole card that didn't go into the skirt on the belt buckle.  But in addition to choosing comfort over raw edges of tin which didn't turn under as neatly as I'd hoped, I am also allergic to nickel and wanted to wear this getup to this year's Pride event.  I am feeling like a freak who is not getting any younger, can you tell?

So I serged all these cards together only to realized I could have directly stitched them to the netting I wound up using to preserve them from wear and tear if I actually want to wear this for more than an hour.   Oh, I should mention everything was made from items on hand:  many many hoarded items on hand like used felt from a previous preshcool papermaking activity, the netting was from an inlaw's wedding decorations (or maybe her veil?) and the plastic beads I used to keep the little dangling gingerbread men from chafing their embroidery threads...so there are several layers of dorky homemade in this, but I will still be rainbow fabulous next month...

What a great challenge that totally inspired me to so something very very wacky.

Thanks so much, it was very encouraging to get votes even though I didn't vote! I am still adding more embellishment to this piece before the parade but I like how this contest got me to jump in and participate.  Not to mention inspiring so much fun.
