I kinda took inspiration from the picture in s'n'b, but I found the instructions a little confusing too, so I just deevised my own- here's the results...

Wow I really like yours with the bias around the edging and the elastics to hold it closed, I think I'm obsessed with finishing things with bias binding though lol!

oh thanks! I share your obsession with the bias tape, and lord, do  I have a serious addiction to piping too!

today my grandmother gave me all of my great-grandmother's old knitting supplies.....so i now have an unholy amount of needles....i can't wait to make one of these. well now i kinda NEED to.  Grin

Ooh yours is so pretty. I made one, which i still use, but messed up on. I sewed the ribbon to both sides so it doesn't tie up right.

I also made a needle case from the instructions in SnB...I love it SOOOO much and the instructions were great. I didnt think of adding an extra pocket though, Maybe Ill add on to mine Cheesy

I didn't follow the pattern exactly.
I started to, but after cutting all the pieces of fabric out, I realized that this shouldn't be as difficult as they're making it out to be.

So I just kinda improvised the rest of the way.
It's not completely done.
I think I'm going to use mlleemily's technique with the elastic closures.
And I think I'm going to make a quick trip to JoAnn's to pick up some bias tape to clean up the edges a bit.

But anyway, here it is!
