All but three of the triangles are made using pieces out of my scrap bag. I could have gone further and pieced together the scraps but I was doing this a bit simpler. Each triangle is about 6"x8" and is reversable; boys theme on one side, girls on the other.

boys

girls

I wrote out the whole *very easy* process here http://solidityofrainbows.blogspot.com/2010/06/reversable-scrap-party-bunting-or.html

That's a really good project. It has a great impact even though it's quite simple, and it will last for years - way better than tacky party decorations you can buy cheaply. Just shows that it's worth investing a little time in it.

Thanks for sharing!

That's a really cool idea..I dig it!

I am compelled to ask about your 'deck" down below the chairs in the second picture though..Am I correct in thinking those are re-purposed transport pallets? Fantastic idea if so!

I really want to make some of these for various holidays as well as birthdays. I just need to do it. I really like that you used scraps and that you made it color themed!

Bunyanka -Yes it's a modular deck I made using shipping pallets. Good eye Smiley I have to get the photos and stuff up for it on Craftster. I have it in the tutorials on my blog. I only have seven, I want to make a lot more. 84 sq ft of deck cost me about $87 and that includes the chairs, pillows and table that are on them.

As for the buntings. I might make a smaller one with smaller flags to hang above/on the birthday kids bed for the week of their birthday.

Bunting is so hip this season. I'm thinking of making some for craft fairs / expos. You did a great job!

Also a huge fan of the repurposed deck material.  Smiley
