I got mail today!  I got AWESOME mail today.  My swap package arrived and it is FABULOUS!  You go Gigglygirl, you totally GO!

I received this incredible stationery:

These beautiful handmade purses:

These GORGEOUS vintage purses:

I am taking the round one the next time we go to the Santa Fe opera.
This teacup pincushion with matching sugar bowl:

I have been scouring the antique and thrift stores for AGES looking for a teacup to do this with, HOW DID YOU KNOW?
The sugar bowl is now home to my mad crafting money.
But wait there is more...
This fabulous blue satin takeout box purse:

that opens to find....

this collection of charms

this incredible necklace and earring set

these vintage earrings that she converted to pierced from clip-on

these vintage style earrings

my favorite, this luck of the Irish bracelet for "The Quiet Man"

and my absolute favorite part of the whole package, these handmade dolls named Mame and Vera (vera is the blonde of course) that I had to clean my craft room in order to display them properly.

I absolutely love all of it.  As a 1st timer, I am hooked on swaps now!

So glad you enjoyed the package. I had a great time with the vintage theme.

Here's an action shot of the necklace. Smiley I think I might have to make something similar for myself. I'm a sucker for sparkles!

So the bad news is that my uncharged camera batteries are not going to support my earlier claim that I'd post pictures tonight Sad

The good news is, it's given me a chance to check out others' stuff, and WOW!!  Shocked gorgeous gallery so far! The purses and jewelry and hats and tees and clever quotes and that beaded Hitchcock hanging holy wow!!

Keep it up! I can't wait to add my loot to the mix this weekend  Grin

Here it is! My fantastic package from blushingbluegrass!

A gorgeous, vintage jewewlry box with the skillfully stencilled "her beads hang straight" from Thoroughly Modern Millie!

Spacious inside of the box... this is so awesome, seriously where did you find this?

From His Girl Friday we've got the hilarious "Peter B. Hartwell B for Brains" pendant

Inspired by Millie's fantastic hats, a fun black and white headband. It fits perfectly (which is saying something with my big head) but I will spare you all the scary just-woken-up action shot Smiley

And just in case anyone underestimates my need for the jewelry box, this is currently the top of my dresser

No, I won't be putting the Advil or the Q-Tips in the jewelry box.

blushingbluegrass, this package rocks! You've got so many skills! Thanks for everything--I love it! And thanks for organizing too Smiley

Hooray! I am seriously so relieved you like everything!

I found the jewelry box in a Goodwill. I was on the hunt for one for a couple of weekends after you mentioned your need for one and thought that would be perfect.

I hope you don't mind, but I took an action shot of the headband before I sent it off. I was really pleased with how it came out, and intend to make myself one  Wink

Love those great Goodwill finds! Smiley I certainly don't mind the action shot--it's adorable on you--you DO need to make yourself one!

Here is the fabulous package I received yesterday from Najaorama (sorry for not posting earlier)

For "My Fair Lady" she made me some super magnets of a lady with  beautiful costumes - it reminds me of card dolls I used to play with my sister when we were kids...I spent hours changing their outfits. Now I can do it again Wink

Then for "Robin Hood", she sent me Erroll Flynn's style hats (FOUR of them one for each of us) here is my youngest proudly showing of his . I will have to make sure we take them with us next time I go visit my mum (she kives near a large forest)

And finally for " Casablanca" Najaorama made a set of napkins with different quotes from the film (how did you know I've been meaning to make myself napkins for months) and  a gorgeous bottle bag with the inscription Rick's Cafe Americain.

THANK YOU Najaorama I love it all Kiss

I love the magnets, they remind me of the Tom Tierney paper dolls I used to have when I was a kid.  The napkins are so great too.  I'm getting so many ideas for Christmas presents from this swap.  YOu are all AWESOME! Grin
