I received the most fabulous package from the talented nmcakemom07. My partner is so talented I'm in awe.

First I received this fabulous Grace Kelly beaded cuff bracelet. Love this!

My partner sent me not one but three great vintage-inspired caps adorned with petals and feathers.

She sent me this great Sound of Music-themed t-shirt.

She also sent me two additional shirts for my two-yr-old daughter and my one-yr-old son.
So cute!!

I also received this great three-strand charm bracelet.

I received these Streetcar Named Desire homemade candles!

And the best for last: NMcakemom07 made this incredible beaded artwork of Alfred Hitchcock. Wow!

She also sent me a great photo of Vivien Lee playing Blanche DeBois in Streetcar Named Desire.  I will try and scan that later. Will also try and take photos of the kids in the shirts.

This package is so amazing. I am truly humbled. Thank you. You are so talented and amazing!!!

I got mail today!  I got AWESOME mail today.  My swap package arrived and it is FABULOUS!  You go Gigglygirl, you totally GO!

I received this incredible stationery:

These beautiful handmade purses:

These GORGEOUS vintage purses:

I am taking the round one the next time we go to the Santa Fe opera.
This teacup pincushion with matching sugar bowl:

I have been scouring the antique and thrift stores for AGES looking for a teacup to do this with, HOW DID YOU KNOW?
The sugar bowl is now home to my mad crafting money.
But wait there is more...
This fabulous blue satin takeout box purse:

that opens to find....

this collection of charms

this incredible necklace and earring set

these vintage earrings that she converted to pierced from clip-on

these vintage style earrings

my favorite, this luck of the Irish bracelet for "The Quiet Man"

and my absolute favorite part of the whole package, these handmade dolls named Mame and Vera (vera is the blonde of course) that I had to clean my craft room in order to display them properly.

I absolutely love all of it.  As a 1st timer, I am hooked on swaps now!

So glad you enjoyed the package. I had a great time with the vintage theme.

Here's an action shot of the necklace. Smiley I think I might have to make something similar for myself. I'm a sucker for sparkles!

So the bad news is that my uncharged camera batteries are not going to support my earlier claim that I'd post pictures tonight Sad

The good news is, it's given me a chance to check out others' stuff, and WOW!!  Shocked gorgeous gallery so far! The purses and jewelry and hats and tees and clever quotes and that beaded Hitchcock hanging holy wow!!

Keep it up! I can't wait to add my loot to the mix this weekend  Grin

Here it is! My fantastic package from blushingbluegrass!

A gorgeous, vintage jewewlry box with the skillfully stencilled "her beads hang straight" from Thoroughly Modern Millie!

Spacious inside of the box... this is so awesome, seriously where did you find this?

From His Girl Friday we've got the hilarious "Peter B. Hartwell B for Brains" pendant

Inspired by Millie's fantastic hats, a fun black and white headband. It fits perfectly (which is saying something with my big head) but I will spare you all the scary just-woken-up action shot Smiley

And just in case anyone underestimates my need for the jewelry box, this is currently the top of my dresser

No, I won't be putting the Advil or the Q-Tips in the jewelry box.

blushingbluegrass, this package rocks! You've got so many skills! Thanks for everything--I love it! And thanks for organizing too Smiley

Hooray! I am seriously so relieved you like everything!

I found the jewelry box in a Goodwill. I was on the hunt for one for a couple of weekends after you mentioned your need for one and thought that would be perfect.

I hope you don't mind, but I took an action shot of the headband before I sent it off. I was really pleased with how it came out, and intend to make myself one  Wink

Here is the fabulous package I received yesterday from Najaorama (sorry for not posting earlier)

For "My Fair Lady" she made me some super magnets of a lady with  beautiful costumes - it reminds me of card dolls I used to play with my sister when we were kids...I spent hours changing their outfits. Now I can do it again Wink

Then for "Robin Hood", she sent me Erroll Flynn's style hats (FOUR of them one for each of us) here is my youngest proudly showing of his . I will have to make sure we take them with us next time I go visit my mum (she kives near a large forest)

And finally for " Casablanca" Najaorama made a set of napkins with different quotes from the film (how did you know I've been meaning to make myself napkins for months) and  a gorgeous bottle bag with the inscription Rick's Cafe Americain.

THANK YOU Najaorama I love it all Kiss

I love the magnets, they remind me of the Tom Tierney paper dolls I used to have when I was a kid.  The napkins are so great too.  I'm getting so many ideas for Christmas presents from this swap.  YOu are all AWESOME! Grin

I'm so glad you like it all. i had a lot of fun making it and my DH had never seen Casablanca. It was fun sharing that with him.

The paperdolls are from a site called Lianas paper dolls. She hand draws them all.  There is a ton of clothes. http://www.joechip.net/liana/ I totally had  a second childhood going through them all.

This swap was so much fun. Stellou sent in two separate packages. I got one and it is possibly the coolest thing I now own. I left my camera at work over the weekend but I will post pictures as soon as I can.

So Stellou sent me the most amazing package(s), the first part came in an envelope.
It had these cool bookmarks with quotes from "Cat on a Hot tin Roof" my favorite movie with the geougious Liz Taylor and a dreamy mcsteamy young Paul Newman.

Then she sent me a Picturegoer magazine from 1951 featuring A Streetcar Named Desire my second favorite flick (yes I have a thing for the Tennessee Williams movies)! I love love love vintage ephemera. She said she was going to cut it up but didn't have the heart and for that I could kiss her.

Pictures of them filming. This is my favorite schene when he comes home all swaety and dirty from working on cars...mmmm young Marlon Brandow.

It was the coolest thing I owned...until I got this VIRTIGO QUILT. No seriously she made me a quilt based on the movie Virtigo. I'm posting a bunch of pics because it deserves it.

Can you see the swirly vortex quilting?

Check out the amazing rose fabric she used for a border. This is right from the climax of the movie.

and the back

Thank you so much Stellou. This was the best package ever.

This turned out to be a really awesome swap and an even better gallery! Everything's so awesome!

I was totally spoiled by justaddcats! One of my favorite movies on my list was Casablanca, and she went all out with it! (Sorry about the quality -- my sister went and loaned my working camera to her friend because hers is broken -- so I had to use my laptop webcam). If you have better pictures justaddcats, feel free to share!

She made me a navy clutch inspired by the ones Ilsa carries in the film (in one of my favorite colors!), a Casablanca notebook for secrets and smuggling important passport documents in and out of the country, a compact mirror with the lyrics to "As Time Goes By", a beautiful handmade card, and a necklace and earring set inspired by the lamps in Rick's cafe!

Close-up of the necklace and the compact. Sorry it doesn't do it justice. Inside when you open the mirror it says "Here's lookin' at you, kid". It makes me smile every time. Smiley

Thank you so much for the wonderful swap package Kate! I love everything so much!  Grin

All right finally had enough time to sit down and upload and the like.  Here is my package from agulauna.

There was a hat inspired by one the character, Saunders wore in "Mr Smith goes to Washington" as well as an Abraham Lincoln pin, also inspired by that movie and the fact that I love Lincoln.  Also, she made me a black and white bag inspired by "My Fair Lady"-can you get any better than Audrey Hepburn in all those amazing costumes, I think not.
Anyway, my son loved everything and hijacked the bag and hat for his dress up chest.  HE LOVES HATS AND BAGS. He must have at least a hat on before he goes anywhere, as you can see by his break for the door.

The Abraham Lincoln pin will most likely find a home on my purse.
And just for the proud mama in my, here is a lovely headshot of Isaac loving his hat...

Thanks so much for a great package and a fun swap to craft for!
