I had the best set of sheets growing up, it was Snoopy and all the Peanuts kids in disco gear and dancing.  The pillow case was snoopy doing the john travolta pose and it said "Saturday Night Beagle."  Oh how I wish I still had those sheets.

You know, Salvation Army is a great place for worn/soft sheets, and usually in the strangest patterns or retro licensed characters.  I swear I just saw some Popple sheets last time I was there, lol.

Several times I've made dresses out of old sheets to wear to weddings.  They're always cute!

We have the sheets that have Snoopy on rollerblades. Unfortunately, they're in use by my 7 year old.  I might still have the Barbie and Minnie Mouse sheets from my daughter, though. And we had some really pretty sheets with violets on them that have disintegrating elastic. I love those sheets.  I just wish I had the peach rose sheets that went with the comforter I picked out for my room in high school. I still have the comforter in the basement, but I think my mom kept or tossed the sheets.  Sad

Thank you! Now I have a plan, once I find the sheets!  Smiley

This is perfect! Where I live there are no fabric stores within a 75 mile radius, and so my only source of material is flat sheets from Walmart. I already have 5 or 6 items I've made, so it will be easy to come up with something else.

I'm totally in!  I bought a bed sheet at a thrift store a couple weeks ago and I've been staring at it ever since.  This should give me some reason to actually do something!  I plan on making an outfit, but having the pants out of coordinating fabric.  I suppose they won't really count in my entry, but they will make an adorable outfit for me!

I move next week, so hopefully I'll be able to get some good work in before the move so I can get this done in time!

i have another question:
does everything fabric have to be made from bedsheets? for example, if you were making a kimono dress
would the sash (sewn in) have to be bedsheets? or does it just have to be that the main fabric is bedsheets?
and may we add buttons and clips and ribbon and such?

I just got a bunch of sheets from a University-wide yard sale. I have got some great things planned.

Craft Challenge #52 - Bed Sheet Getup - Due Jul 1 - Jul 7

You can use other craft supplies and components in your project, but the main focus of the project should be the bed sheet(s).
