I have been wanting to make a project out of bed sheets because they're such a great source of fabric, now i have the motivation I've been needing to actually do it. I can't wait I'm so excited the wheels are turning!

I'm in! Assuming I can get my sewing machine to cooperate with me...

I started making chain mail jewelry in June 2011, and started my own company, Incendia Designs, in August 2011. I also crochet, act, sew (a little) and am enjoying being a newlywed!

have decided I definately have to use one of the great Craftster tuts on making a dress form first, then drape it with all the sheets I've collected. I'm really excited to see if someone makes a wedding dress!

Just went home last month and mom bought me a king size flat sheet in the ugliest small floral pattern to craft with. Because she gave it to me, i have to make something out of it.

So. Say most of my entry is made of a bed sheet. Can I use a bit a pillowcase here and there? Or does it have to be 100% completely bedsheet?

This is a wonderful idea, I have been thinking of making something out of sheets for some time now!
one question though, do we have to use the whole sheet?

Yep, you can use a pillowcase here and there!  You can use a pickle jar, a mop and a watermelon, too.  Just make sure the main focus of the completed project is the sheet:

You can use other craft supplies and components in your project, but the main focus of the project should be the bed sheet(s).

Try to use as much of at least one bed sheet as possible.  Get creative with scraps to reduce project waste -- use them for detailing such as ruffles, pockets, fabric-covered buttons, custom tag inside your piece, etc.
