Not to suck up, but I think it looks great on you. If you don't like it, maybe you could jazz it up a bit? If you have any more yarn (or are able to get more) I think a belt in that same "primitive non-stockinette" stitch as you call it. You could even/also sew in some beads, too. Maybe you could put the beads along the holes made by the increase and decreases, I think that would look great. Whether you decide you still don't like it or not, it's gorgeous and the color looks great on you! Good job on sticking to it and completing it, too.  Smiley

OH YES, do a belt! That'd look awesome. Maybe in a lighter shade or a bold complimentary color. And maybe even tights!

Ok, maybe not tights.

Anyway, that dress is gorgeous and I'm in awe of both your skill AND your patience.  I hope it brought luck to the exam!

I agree with everyone. You look hawt lady!

I can imagine this dress with a nice jean jacket, some dark chocolate brown leather flat heel knee high boots, and a knitted beaded belt, with dangly earrings made out of rose colored beads and chocolate brown beads...yum!

I am making myself hungry with all this talk of chocolate...

I've always been scared to knit a dress, but you've inspired me to give it a try! It looks fabulous!

Beautiful dress!  The only thing I can see that would improve the look is if it fit tighter.  As thin as you are you would look fabulous in a more body skimming style.  You have a great figure.  Flaunt it.

I agree with the person who said you might not be used to wearing that style. This saleswoman in a store in Paris (I was an au pair) made me buy a pair of pants that were very fitted in the thigh. She wouldn't let me try on anything else and kinda forced me to buy them. I'm not a slender person, btw. Well those pants changed my life! I love that pushy lady! Smiley This dress looks really, really good on you. I agree it could be more fitted. A belt would be great. It's so mod, I'd wear it w/ apple green tights, black ballet flats and a fitted jacket. You look fantastic!
