Yesterday we had an Herb & Craft festival downtown, and one of the booths had all these matching totes, credit card holders, cell phone cases, checkbook covers, etc. and they also had some cigarette cases. I didn't like any of the patterns so I thought "Hey! I could make one myself". I've been looking for a sewing pattern, has anyone made one of these before? It shouldn't be too hard to make a pattern myself, just thought I'd see what else people have come up with.

It seems like you could take some sort of little box and cover it with fabric, or make your own pouch and somehow reinforce the sides...the thing about cigarette cases is that they have to be stiff or else your cigs break off by the filter, which is probably the 6th most annoying thing ever.

Well, it would be more like a little pouch to put the box in. Even though cigarette boxes come wrapped in plastic, I still get tobacco all over my purse and it drives me crazy. I think I'm going to go sit in front of my sewing machine now and see what I can come up with  Smiley

Okay, I finished something! I found this tutorial: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=21586.0
It's for a camera cozy, but I figured a camera is about the same size of a pack of cigarettes. All I did was add a snap instead of a button and made it big enough to fit a lighter in there too:

I'm going to give this one away because the stitching isn't the greatest since I was just playing around.
