I received from honeyd yesterday!

Oh my goodness she sent so much lovely fiber. I said I had never spun anything other than wool before so she sent me a sampler of lots of other fiber types!

Bamboo (which she didn't dye) that was inspiration for the color theme in the rest of the fiber. SO pretty, this is actually my favorite color. ^^;

Mohair

Tussah silk

Milk fiber

Angora

Nylon

And as an extra, some beautiful fabric remnants. I want to make some little zippered pouches out of these like right away, except I've got another swap which takes precedence. Tongue soon though!

Thanks so much honeyd! Everything is so pretty Cheesy I love it!

 Shocked Shocked Shocked

Oh my word, oddacity you SCORED!!! A luxury sampler of coordinating colors- what an awesome idea! My favorite is the milk- it looks soooo soft and I just love the colors.

What a spectacular opening to the gallery!

Wow.  The luxury sampler looks divine!  The colours for the tussah silk and milk fiber are to die for!  I can't wait to see the yarns you spin with the fiber!

Pfft.  You have no reason to worry! Cheesy

I received a fantastic package of squishy fiber from lapoli this evening and I adore everything she sent!!!  The colours are totally what I would pick for myself.  First up, we have the lovely hand dyed roving - a 4 oz batch of corriedale top, names "Stormy Twilight":

lapoli's a pro at blending fiber colours...I love the combination of blues, grays, black tones, and reddish/purplish accents (sorry for describing what might seem obvious...but the picture definitely does reflect the gorgeous colours in the fiber!!).

And she also sent along an awesome chunky art batt that has a smidge all kinds of luscious fibers which she knows I would love to play with.  In this batt, she added alpaca, cotswald, tencel, milk fiber, angelina, silk noil, mill ends, cashmere, silk, merino lamb, targhee, recycled silk and black carbonized bamboo Roll Eyes  Pretty much everything but the kitchen sink Wink  It's so silky and soft...and I can't wait to spin this!

lapoli, thanks for sending such a super package!
