I started this some time around January while I was in the Labyrinth swap, and just finished it today.  Roll Eyes  not that it took me almost 5 months, I just didn't work on it everyday, and sometimes I only spent 10 - 15 minutes on it.  don't know what I'm going to do with it, but here it is anyway:

original:

finished product:

it was done on 14 count black Aida cloth and measures 61/2"x12".

thanks.  Grin

and yes, if you have any ideas as to what I can use this for, let me know!!!  (thanks for starting me out with a good idea, Tanza  Grin)

the only problem I have is that I really screwed up when I started it.  I only left 2 rows at the top.  Undecided  I have tons of room on the other 3 sides, but the top is pretty much...well.  maybe I can take some bias tape to make like a frame around it and hide the little oops?

why not add a layer of fabric as a boarder all the way around.
You could use a plain black and then add it to a pillow cover as the center focal piece.

Or use it on the bottom of a towel as a decorative strip.

or as you save pop it into a frame as a wall hanging.

thanks for more suggestions!  Cheesy

I had at one point (way at the beginning) thought of making it into a wall hanging.  just one tiny problem; I have no wall room.  Cheesy  maybe I can move some things around though.  and then fill old holes.  repaint over the filler.  Wink

I agree this is awesome! Grin Grin I also think it would look great as a pillow/cushion, just even the spacing out on all the sides then sew some fabric around as a border (as already suggested) and make a cushion or pillowcase from it. Or you could also possibly use it as a pocket for the front of a tote or bag.
