here is my favorite sweater.
i used to wear it every day when it was cold and so i decided to jazz it up a bit.
i got the idea for the swallows from sublime stitching  Wink
i think i am going to have the birds hold a banner with my name on it......

Nice! I love how colorful they are.

I probably wouldn't put my name on it, though...it seems like that would just encourage people with *ahem* wandering eyes...Wink

Cute! What kind of thread did you use, and what was your method? I'd love to do that to some of my clothing.

Great Job! I would like to do something like this to jazz up some of my cardigans, but I couldn't figure out how to get the pattern on the sweater.  How did you do it?  Also, did you have a hard time with material slippage or anything like that?

first i drew the birds on paper, then i cut them out
next i drew around them with a marker
and then drew on the details by eye.
this was only my 3rd embroidery project, and i think it was easy. i didnt use a hoop and the sweater is so thick that it didnt slip or anything.

oh man, i know that well.  I used to wear a lot of shirts with sarcastic sayings back in highschool, but had to stop because I really longed for eye contact with people
