I made these great bags by cutting up mens shirts I got in charity shops and re-purposing them! all parts of the shirt are used, the sleeve and cuff have been transformed into the bow on the front and the shirt pocket is a nifty wee phone pocket inside the bag!

I use a lovely flannel one, its so soft I have to stop myself stroking them!

I made more which are in a pile waiting to be photographed!

c&c greatly appreciated Smiley

Ahhh!! These are so cute I want to scream!!! What a clever idea! And I like that you used every part of the shirt to make these totes.

It's great that you took something "masculine" and turned it into something so "feminine"!!! The shape is awesome, like a dress with a bow bodice!!! Is the opening elasticized so it can stretch open more?

Great job, Lynn! Thanks for sharing these!  Smiley   Smiley   Smiley

These are amazing!  I absolutely love the way you repurposed every part of the original shirt!

Thanks guys!

no its not elasticated but i can comfortably fit an a4 folder in it with no trouble getting it in Smiley the top band is interfaced to give the bag some much needed structure instead.

nice! The bow is a really pretty touch, I think it makes the bag.

I absolutely love it!  You are so creative, to come up with a feminine looking purse using a man's shirt!
I'd love to try this myself one day, when I get more sewing experience.
Thanks for sharing!
