First quilt!

I absolutely canNOT believe I did this... I can't (well, couldn't) even sew with a machine! It doesn't look that great, but I really wanted to post it because I sort of taught myself how to quilt and how to sew on a machine at the same time. Geez. I don't know if it's a labor of love or delusion, but I'm still proud of it!


I know it's small... I used remnant fabric from Wal Mart as I didn't want to spend a lot on something that I wasn't sure I could do. Also, I know it's a little zig zaggy, I had a hard time getting it all smooshed together. I'll have to read up on some quilting basics (after the fact, ha!).

Congratulations!  It looks fantastic for a first quilt!  (brave of you to make so many small boxes!).  I think the slightly wobbly look is actually really cool- like an optical illusion!

Thanks, guys!  Maybe next time I'll try to exaggerate the ziggy zaggies for that (on purpose) optical illusion. I really do appreciate all the nice words, I feel encouraged enough to start quilt 2!
