Just wondering, how much fabric did you use for the skirt part and how much for the top?
It looks like you don't need that much fabric. Am I right?

You don't sound stupid! I'm not sure the exact measurements, but definitely less than a yard for the top and about a yard for the skirt.

this is gorgeous! i LOVE the yellow colour. is that a string-tie round the middle?

Thanks! It is two long pieces of fabric sewn into the side seams to make a belt that you can tie in front or back
