Been lurking too long on this site! I am very excited about this dress because I used no patterns, and only recycled articles of clothing. This is only the second dress I have ever made and I am psyched to make more. My bf was very enthusiastic about my new endeavors.

Upon finding the skirt, I realized I have never had a red dress.
Fabric detail

A recon was definitely in order, but the fabric of the skirt was too sheer to wear out of the house. I ripped the skirt apart and layered up the fabric, then I found a black turtle neck I never wore and set to work. Much gathering, pinning, ripping, and cursing later, I had a fun new dress to play in on hot summer afternoons!

Detail of top

It is far from perfect, but I love that I made something to wear out of the otherwise unwearable. C&C appreciated! Thanks for looking!

That's a really nice dress ^^ I like the contrast of the fabric of the skirt with the simple, black fabric of the top. Well done, it looks really nice =)

I really like the contrast too - lovely choice of colours.

If you say 'plz' because it's shorter than 'please',I'll say 'no' because it's shorter than 'yes'.

Ohhh love the shape of the dress and the fabric. Congrats on not using a pattern, I'm going to try this endeavor soon also.
