I have recently started taking classes through JoAnns. My second lesson was making either a skirt or shorts from this pattern. I chose "F". As a beginner sewer, the hardest part for me was understanding the directions on the pattern. The actual construction of the skirt however was fairly easy. A BIG mistake that I made(and have now realized to avoid in the future) is the sizing the pattern is made for. I was unaware of this when I first purchased the pattern. I ended up buying the size 8-16...and I wear a size 0/1. After finishing the skirt I tried it on, but of course it is too big. I guess you make mistakes, and learn from them. Here is the finished project. I will eventually reconstruct it to fit better, because I would love to add this piece to my wardrobe.
