I have a bunch of family members who are currently pregnant and some babies who were just born. Seriously, it's like a mini baby boom in my family. Also, there has been a whole lot of not finding out baby's gender! So I've been trying to make useful, cute and unisex baby items. Here's some of my cool new pacifier clips!

And a cutie to model one!

RAAAARAH!

These are so cute.  Great idea and great way to not loose those pacifiers.  Love those colors.

Thanks, all! I find the handmade pacifier clips cuter than many of the ones you find in the store!

And SuperSow, the clip has a whole in the back part of the clip and I just looped the fabric through and sewed it down. (See this photo <http://www.idsuperstore.com/images/1_116_BOS_Embossed_U_Clip_5705-3541.jpg> of a similar clip without the ribbon attached)

Is that elastic on the end?  That is such a clever way to make them versatile!  The storebought ones usually only work with one brand/style of pacifier.  (The ones I most recently found, for instance, only fit around the MAM pacifiers, with that "nub" on the back; unfortunately, my daughters would only take Nuks, which have that loopy thing.)  Yours work well with a variety.  I will have to keep that in mind, as I actually have some ribbon here that I bought specifically for this purpose and haven't gotten around to using yet.

Thank you, again!

A2JC4life, yes, it is elastic on the end! My son used the Raz-Baby soothers (same nipple and button back as MAM) for the first 6 months or so of his life which are crazy expensive, with crazy expensive clips that only fit the button pacifiers. I later discovered the MAM ones which are a little cheaper and don't have the closing feature. Again, the specific pacifier clips were annoying. I saw something like these ones (that I make) in a store, but there was just a loop of string on the end rather than elastic. I was going to make some and thought the elastic would make them even more versatile! I also thought you might be able to get white elastic and dye it to make them even prettier, but to be honest, I would probably never put THAT much effort into little details!

Another tip... I found some double sided, very skinny fabric tape that doesn't gum up the needle and washes out. Using this to keep it all together was really helpful with sewing since pinning doesn't work very well with skinny, slippery ribbon!
