I'm not sure I should post this here, but the desire to show off is strong, and I'm not sure where else to put this.   Roll Eyes

I made these spindles years ago from wooden wheels from the craft store and dowel rods cut to size and with a point put on one end with a pencil sharpener.  

But I think I need prettier tools... so, what to do... but use ModPodge!

Big one decoupaged with stamps:

little one coated with glue and glitter, and then more glue to keep the glitter from getting everywhere.  It also has a little rhinestone star, but I took the picture from a bad angle and you can't really tell.

They were painted with several coats of acrylic paint, in the only two colors I have, black and "Victorian rose".

(before picture... of my little spindle.  I can't find one of the big one, oops...)
