I did more than wist them. I found something similar (although not as brilliant as atsuko's) on Etsy and BOUGHT them!

Thanks for the shopping inspiration, atsuko Smiley.

According to the DC#, ~Glenda should receive my package today! YAY!!

I am so worried that it's not going to make it one piece. I'm more than a bit anxious to know that it arrived ok.

Yes, I'm wide awake at 4 am. Bleh.

It didn't show up today, so should show up tomorrow (Friday). Usually when stuff goes through Ft. Worth one night, it's delivered to me the next day . . . but, of course, "usually" doesn't mean every single time Wink. I'll be on the look out for it tomorrow!!

Troublet spoiled me BIGTIME, using things on my Wist as inspiration Smiley. Without further delay:

I *love* this muchly!! We don't get lots of rain where we live, and when we do it tends to be in the form of nasty ole thunderstorms. I miss being able to be outside in the rain without having to worry about lightning! This embroidery + applique reminds me of what it was like to live somewhere where you could enjoy playing in the rain. The colors are perfect -- very much me Smiley.

A closer-up shot; the colors are more true in this picture than in the above one. Flawless work!

This next picture is also inspired by one in my Wist. Again, fantastic-for-me colors. The bird and leaves are paper. I really want to try something like that, so it's wonderful to have one that I can look at up-close-and-personal.

Some crocheted cloths (I've been wanting more of these!) and one of my favorite cartoon characters of all time, Blooregard Q. Kazoo!! He will sit on the worktable in my home office / crafting space and I will smile every time I see him Smiley.

Thank you sooooo much, Troublet!! This was truly a fantastic package.

WOOOHOOO! That frame made it to TX without breaking. I used every bit of bubble wrap and packaging I could find in our office downstairs. (My husband saves it for me whenever he gets a shipment of computer bits. Smiley )

The Bird in a Tree piece is my first piece of mixed media. The leaves are tissue paper and the bird is scrap booking paper. It took me a while to actually give that project a go but I'm glad it turned out. Cheesy

I'm making another Bloo for my son, possibly for Christmas. We quote Bloo and Cheese from Foster's on a regular basis.

I would never have known that was your first attempt at mixed media. Very fine work, ma'am!!

We love Cheese too Smiley. I wonder how hard he'd be to crochet? ;-).  A couple summers ago I embroidered a t-shirt for kiddo's birthday and it had Bloo & Cheese on it -- it was pretty cool, if I say so myself, but of course it was outgrown lickety-split. Now it's stashed away in his "keepsakes" box!

I love that wall hanging! The fabric + embroidery is really really great. I want one that says June showers since that's what we're experiencing in Seattle right now Smiley. The tree/bird mixed media is also fantastic! So impressed that this was your first go, Troublet. I'm sure it won't be your last. The crochet cloths are handy and Blooregard is impossible not to love.

Great package!
