I couldn't wait another second to post my entry for the challenge!

My daughter and I are creating a little fairy village in our garden, and these will be its residents when it's all finished.

The "skeleton" for each of the dolls is from the Klutz book, Fairies http://www.amazon.com/Fairies-Petal-People-Yourself-Klutz/dp/1570546495/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1274986721&sr=8-1 and I crocheted all of the dresses and hats.  It was my oldest daughters' idea to make a mermaid.

Bigger pictures are on my Flickr, www.flickr.com/photos/djonesgirlz/ along with the names I gave each doll. I had so much fun with this project!  I didn't intend to make so many in the beginning, but they are addictive!

Thanks for looking!

The 3rd one down on the left hand side looks a lot like Anne of Green Gables  Smiley

Yep, it's Alice!  I didn't intend to make her at first--I was just wanted a fairy with an apron. She was that tiny before though, and she definitely fits into the fantasy category in my opinion!  Wink

These are all so cute! I especially like the witch and the mermaid, but they're all sweet. What thickness of yarn did you use?

I used whatever crochet thread and novelty yarn that I could crochet with a size 7 steel crochet hook. I don't know the exact size of any of it--all of the yarn is from my stash and the labels are long gone.  Tongue
