I've been whipping out these mini clutches. They're fun to make and great for summer when you don't wanna carry around a big bulky bag.
They're made with mostly the bullion stitch and accented with vintage buttons.

GAH! Another crochet craft I wish I could do. I've tried hopelessly to teach myself crochet and I just can't get the hang of it. Saving up to take a two  hour class at Joanns as soon as possible and definitely doing this!

These are great!
I need to learn this stitch, it's lovely.

Smiley I've made a bunch of wee purses like this for gifts for everyone when I go home, and I use one for my bank cards too.
Do you make them in one piece and fold/sew them up or do you do it in the round?

I added a wee wrist strap to some of mine, and I made some slightly bigger for the older girls.
They're just big enough for a night out kit... bank card, lippy, compact and mobile phone.
Fun fun fun

Oooh, these are fantastic! Cute and useful! Grin Best combination! I love the green one - the colors gives it a very vintagey feel.

Stick with it, it took me 12yrs to learn, my nan gave me the basics and then I found it most beneficial to scour the internet (youtube is priceless!) and get books from the library. Now I can crochet to a higher standard than my 83yr old grandmother who's been crocheting since her early teens

These look awesome.  I love the colors, and the buttons certainly add a very nice touch.  I should try this stitch out.  I saw it on a pattern for a hat, and it looks great on these clutches.
