I recently had a baby girl. I am decorating her room with shades of gray and yellow. I decided to make a quilt for her with various fabrics in those shades. This is my first quilt. It's slightly larger than most crib quilts, so it will grow with her a little bit. I just did yarn ties rather than quilting the top, mostly because I was unsure of what I was doing! Wink Okay, enough babbling!

The whole thing:

I just made the back out of plain black flannel:

So far I learned that I cannot cut straight even with a rotary cutter! Wink oh well...the baby won't notice if things are a little crooked!

C & C always welcome!

I love that you're decorating in yellow and gray! That's one of my new favorite color combinations Smiley.

Your quilt turned out great and I'm sure it will be much loved by your baby girl.

Thanks for the compliments everyone! It makes me feel better about the crookedness (that's a word, right?) I plan on posting the whole nursery when I'm done for those who liked the color combo. I already painted the walls gray with a yellow stripe. I just need to stencil a design on the stripe and I should be almost done!

Great!!!  We can't wait to see...that is such a fresh color combo...I am not a fan of yellow, but with grey, it also could become a favorite of mine!
