This piece was part of my partner's package in the Geezer swap. It's based off of something that I found on my partner's wish list only I added my own twist with Sunbonnet Sue aka Little Dutch Girl.

I appliqued Sue, her umbrella and the heart using Wonder Under and blanket stitch. The detail work on Sue is done in split, stem and a tiny bit of satin for her hand. The grass is just random long short and the flowers are stem, lazy daisy, and french knots.

Simply beautiful!

I was off to save the world....until I was distracted by something shiny.
