Seems like it's time to really get to the planning of our second Western Washington Craftster Meet Up!

Newbies, welcome! Please, come play with us!

The venue last time that worked so perfectly is less available as our gracious host is busy for much of the month of June. SuperTink is going to look into the availability of her church (in Tacoma) as well as LimeRiot looking into a meeting room available at a fabric store located in Seattle. Anyone else who has an idea of a possible location is welcome to present the option. We'd be curious to know about policies on kids & food. Policies against either don't necessarily exclude a location but may affect the interest of some attendees.

Are there particular dates that don't work well for anyone in particular? I'm going to say Sunday June 20th for sure as it's Father's Day as well as assuming that most would prefer not a Sunday, or at least not early on a Sunday due to religious observations.

I feel like I'm forgetting something....shoot... Okay, technically I'm supposed to be working now so I'm going to get back to doing that.

I don't think my church has a problem with kids or food, since we have both every Sunday.  Grin

I'll check and see when it's available. Perhaps we should schedule it for the end of June, so everyone has time to plan to attend?

I get up to Tacoma every once in a while; I'm down in Longview but my sister lives in the Puyallup area, so every once in a while I make it up that way.

I might be able to join you depending on when...I'd love to play! Wink

I've got an update on the Seattle location I mentioned...

Pacific Fabrics in Northgate (http://www.pacificfabrics.com/StoreLocations/northgate.htm) has a craft space that they loan out for free. It's a decent sized room but if we all brought sewing machines we would be cozy at about 10 people. Otherwise 12 - 15 would be comfortable. Kids are fine but given that there isn't tons of open space they might be bored. Food is also allowed as long as it's not too messy - cookies and snacks would be okay but bbq pork or sloppy joes would not be okay Smiley. We could have the room anytime that they aren't doing classes.

There is also a scrapbooking store close by that has a HUGE space that they loan to scrapbookers. I could ask about that too but I'd feel bad if we didn't have at least one scrapbooker in the group Smiley. Anyone?

I'll keep brainstorming and keep you posted!

Well, I sew, knit & do card making, which uses most of the same tools & supplies as scrapbooking. And we could even do that as a thing I could "teach", if we did something at that location.

Again, as always, I'm flexible.

I sew and crochet. No paper crafting here.  Undecided

I don't do scrapbooking either; general papercrafting (informal!), yes, and sewing... but not scrapbooking.

I haven't forgotten our meetup!! I'm waiting for a call back from the manager at Pacific Fabrics. She's been on vacation since Memorial Day but was supposed to return this wee sometime.

Is everyone enjoying this lovely summer rain we're having?? My grass likes it but I'm a bit over it.

A bit over it? I'm WAY over it.  Undecided

We just moved and are getting settled. I'll probably skip this meetup.  Cry

I'm down for a meet up! This summer or next. Hopefully we can pull something together soon-ish.

I'm pretty flexible so you'll just let me know what works for you & I'll be there.
