I think summertime tends to have a lot of accidents and what not, it seems every swap during the summer is full of misfortune.  Nothing really bad here, spending mornings keeping up with 5-7 boys at a VBS with a total of around 2000 kids.  I am NOT a morning person, but sleep deprivation has made me funny.

On jemimah's ____ I'm just going to use my own doodles.  Have half of pattern drawn, and colors chosen.
On SaralaAnne's ____ need to hunt down my ____pattern, modify another and get stitching. Debating colors, not certain.

I would already be stitching, but I forgot about father's day and am embroidering like a nutcase to get it done.  Hubs is getting a small wallhanging of a FarSide cartoon. Ugh! all the tiny lines!

I received from my wonderful partner today! I'll post photos when I get home tonight. I love it- it's adorable (and functional, too)! And since this is her first embroidery project, I'd say she has a natural talent for it! Can't wait to share!

Uh- there's a gallery already, right? lol. I completely forgot to check for a link to a gallery...  Roll Eyes Sorry- I'm at work and my brain is whimpering in a dark corner...

Wow, I was painstakingly working on my project last night and started thinking about how women used to embroider on a regular basis. I guess since they weren't allowed to do anything else  (Roll Eyes) they were looking for something to do that took a lot of concentration and A LOT OF TIME!! Embroidery fits the bill!

...Maybe I just drew my design too small/intricately. Not to say that I don't enjoy it, it's just super-intense work! I have an hour-long train ride today so I'll be working on my project then...really hope it turns out well!

Hope all are doing well!

I'm still here! I found the perfect picture for our wonderful leader. I need to pick up some material, but I'm hoping to start in on it either tonight or Friday night.

haven't embroidered in awhile, so it came as quite a surprise to see how badly my eyes have deteriorated lately!!  I hate getting old (only 42, is that old??)  anyway, I'll have to see about using my reading glasses, but they give me such terrible headaches.  I'll keep on truckin'!

WIST it up babee...WIST and shout!!

You need one of those great crafting lamps with the big magnifying glass attached!
Well, my project can't get any more done but I have to wait for a bit to mail it off. My sister is coming back from a year in Hong Kong and our mom is all in a tizzy about it. Soon thought, I'll talk her into going to the post office for me soon.

The good news: It isn't locked.
