Hello!

My fiance and I are tying the knot next March. The ceremony itself will be at a church, and the reception will be inside of a machine shed on his family's farm. I need some help to make it look "country chic" without it looking like "My Big Redneck Wedding." We're going to clean up the machine shed as best we can, but there will be some things we cannot remove-- so it will have some shelving along the sides w/ a variety of engine parts, tools, tires, etc. We'll need to go along w/ the machine shed theme. Specifically, I'm looking for ideas on table decor (we were thinking along the lines of brown paper or canvas for tableclothes), and how we can incorporate tractor/truck parts, tools, etc. into the decor (my nana thought that tire rims would be a good decorative piece).

Any ideas would be appreciative!

Thanks,
DARCI FARTSI--

I recently viewed an episode of David Tutera's 'My Fair Wedding', where the bride got married in the field at her farm and then had the reception inside the barn.  You might want to see if you can somehow view the episode...I personally think he has great style, and what he did for this wedding is beautiful, and may give you ideas.  Good luck, and congrats!

Try going to Google and type in barn reception image.  You'll get a ton of photos for inspiration.  A lot of couples used tiny white lights, it makes the barn look magical.  Congratulations!

I would like to second the above poster and say that David Tutera had an awesome show on about just this.  Try to find it,  it has lots of ideas in it.

I would also caution that a little goes a long way keep it simple.  Maybe use mason jars filled with daisies and/or sunflowers, on the shelves with the machine stuff.  You could also include votives in small mason or jelly jars.  This would be simple and would bring some beauty to the machine stuff.  Don't forget that checkered tables and banadannas would work for something like this also.

Some of Martha Stewarts stuff would work, check out her website.
