Heya! I know this isn't perfect and you can see my bruise where I pinched a nerve and 2 ant bites! Haha! Oh well, that just proves that I use my hands.
I used fairly translucent colors for this look. The flash of course makes them look a little more translucent than they are, they're actually pretty even looking. It's the first time I've ever done it so I think they're pretty awesome!
I used this tutorial by MissChievous who is actually a make up artist that I watch on youtube and have learned a lot from.

Starry Sky Gradient Nails TutorialHere's my version:

Tape off your nails because you're going to be sponge painting your nails! (Who can live at that speed? Crazy ideas!) LOL

Paint your nails with your base color. Of course it'll be way easier to start with a light color and go to dark. This orange is actually so pale that I painted 2 layers close to the base of my nail.

Lightly sponge your next color slightly above the base. I forgot to take a picture of my next color, but it's just a slightly darker translucent purplish pink.

When your nails are dry carefully peel off the tape and add a top coat.

This version was pretty simple and I'm totally looking forward to trying more color combos!!
