Well!!! I cannot believe Crystal did not win American Idol!!!  I guess I will have to sew all night after all.  Good thing I cut out a project this afternoon.  Too bad I didn't go to store and buy some diet cokes and ice cream to console myself with.  Or even chips...I knew I should have voted more times last nite!!!!!

Hasn't it been true most seasons that the second place winner ended up being the bigger star of the two?  I don't watch, but my daughter insist that Crystal made out best by being second and will go much further than the other guy.

On a crafty note:  I'm determined to spend a few hours on this swap today.  It's my first real day off for the summer and I have no intention of even getting dressed so its a perfect crafting day  ( if I can just muster up a little creative energy).

I got a lovely package from tapestrymlp yesterday!

We shall start with this elegant stack of letters:

Which, we find, is not in fact a stack of letters, but a box, full of small and random things:

Everything:

(ok, and I admit, everything came carefully wrapped to prevent breakage, so this isn't exactly a representative picture of box-opening)  But we have an adorable felt mushroom, several small jars of seed beads, a larger jar of vintage buttons & things, a stray fairy wing, various bits and bobs  in case I feel the need to make my own steampunk birdhouse (which I may...) and something else I'll get to in a moment.  I'm particularly fascinated by the little brass face in the piece of scrollwork. Smiley

Better picture of the lovely flowers drawn on the top of the box.

Cool selection of beads & buttons!

And a little bottle of Insta-Llama Reconstitution Solution, which is actually for my husband, who has a strange obsession with llamas.  It appears to contain bits of real llama.  Grin  Fantastic!

Thank you, tapestrymlp-- lovely work!  And now I must go find a sample jar to put the fairy wing in.  Wink
