All your comments put a big smile on my face just now...and at 11pm when I have to be up at 5am for work, that's a huge feat to be accompllished, lemme tell ya *insert snoring smiley here...ZZZZzzzzz* LOL!
The button wall art was made as a replica of the one I made for me, cuz GMS loved it so much! I thought adding the cloud applique was a fun touch, so I went with it.
The rainbow tree applique was inspired by a painting on her wists...lemme see if I can find the item and if the link still works, cuz all I did was commit the thumbnail image of it to memory and made up my own color scheme...ah, here it is...was added from sheepblue's wists it says
http://www.etsy.com/view_transaction.php?transaction_id=5746637I basically choose to reverse the idea of the multicolors on everything to be normal colored sky (I happened to have gotten the scrap of 'sky' fabric off etsy a few months back) and make the trees and hills all crazy colors, cuz GMS LOVES brightly colored stuff. I also originally thought of making the tree tops heart shaped instead of round, but I liked the look of round much better, and it lends itself much closer to the inspiration piece.
I keyed in (pun COMPLETELY intended! LOL!) to her love of keys that I saw throughout her wists, and that she likes jewelry she doesn't know she's wearing by it being small and lightweight. The green glass necklace is a bit heavy, I know, but as an occasional piece I'm sure it will be great. I made myself a bracelet with those resin beads as well, mine are squares and triangles.
Totes are always welcomed at GMS's house, so I added to her collection with it, and the crazy tassel bookmarks are a cute little extra to throw into any package, especially for someone that reads.
